Pinterest

Pinterest is a visual discovery and planning service. Users can browse ideas, save Pins and organise them into boards for subjects such as food, home projects, style and creative work. Its website is useful for gathering visual references and returning to ideas over time, rather than treating each saved item as a standalone social update.

Pinterest is a visual discovery and collection service. Pins and boards help organise ideas around a subject such as a room, project, recipe or visual style. A collection can be useful for comparing directions before starting work, while the original source attached to a Pin provides the next place to investigate the underlying product, tutorial or publication.

The useful starting point is the people, community or subject a visitor wants to follow. Its main functions include Visual discovery, Saved Pins and Planning boards, helping distinguish the kinds of shared spaces, published material and interaction available through this particular platform.
