Lemmy

Lemmy provides software for link-sharing and discussion communities, with independent instances connected through federation rather than one centrally operated forum.

It is relevant to people investigating the software or service behind a community discussion space. Its focus includes Federated communities, Discussion software and Instance discovery, helping distinguish the platform's own capabilities and setup information from the content and participation rules of an individual community using it.

The official Lemmy site includes sections for Servers.
