news.com.au brings together Australian news, current affairs and popular topics in one general news website. Its coverage spans national events, lifestyle, entertainment, business and sport. Readers can browse the latest headlines or follow a particular section for developing stories and background reporting. The Australian entry is intended for a broad everyday news audience.
The site brings general Australian news together with consumer, entertainment and lifestyle coverage. That makes it a broad news-reading destination rather than a publication devoted to a single specialist subject. Readers looking for a particular issue can use the relevant topic area to separate current reporting from commentary and practical lifestyle material.
It is useful for following an event, reading about a place or understanding the context behind a headline. The site's coverage and information functions include National headlines, Lifestyle and entertainment and Sport and business, giving readers several ways to approach the reporting or topic they are interested in.
